TOMY Omnibot Jr., Omni Jr. & Radio Shack Robie Junior
The TOMY Omnibot Jr., the TOMY Omni Jr., and the Radio Shack Robie Junior are the compact robots in the 1980s Omnibot and Robie family, and they all roll on the same rubber tires and treads. We make that part. If your junior robot sits still, rolls unevenly, or came to you with no tires at all, this page covers what these robots are and the exact part we make to get them moving again.

Three juniors, one set of tires
These three are the smaller, remote-controlled siblings of the full-size Omnibot butlers, and they share the same drive tires and treads. That is why one part fits all three.
The TOMY Omni Jr. (Model 5410) and the TOMY Omnibot Jr. ("Charmmy") are TOMY's compact take on the Omnibot line. The Radio Shack Robie Junior (1986, Cat. No. 60-2397A) is Radio Shack's version of the same little robot.
We know this one first-hand. When we refurbished our own Radio Shack Robie Junior, it came to us with no rubber tires or treads left at all, so we designed our own and cast them in polyurethane rubber.
What tends to wear out
These robots are around forty years old now, so the rubber goes first. The tires and treads dry out, crack, and flatten, so the robot rolls unevenly or doesn't move. On a lot of these juniors the rubber is gone entirely, worn away or pulled off long ago.
The part we make for these robots
We reproduce the tires and treads, measured from originals so they fit nice and snug.
- Tires and Treads (matching pair). Cast in premium polyurethane rubber (not 3D printed) for a smooth, even roll. Made for the Omni Jr., Omnibot Jr., and Robie Junior. Not sure which you have? Send us a note before ordering and we'll make sure you get the right part.
Looking for one of these robots?
We make the parts, not the robots, so we don't sell complete units. The juniors turn up on eBay and among collectors. When you find yours, we'll have what it needs to roll again.
